Vinita Puri is a skilled clinician that utilizes strengths based anti-oppressive methodologies for addressing the needs of her clientele. Her passion for social justice and alternative dispute resolution has always fueled her desire to coach and counsel individuals, couples and families that are undergoing life challenges and transitions.

Vinita is a Registered Social Worker and Family Mediator/Parent Coordinator in the Province of Ontario.​ She has been working with a diverse range of vulnerable and marginalized populations in a variety of community based organizational settings for nearly 20 years. Vinita is an Associate Member of Family Mediation Canada (FMC); the Ontario Association of Family Mediators (OAFM) and the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO).

At the present time, Vinita is an Elected Council Member for the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as well as a Faculty Field Supervisor for the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. In addition, Vinita also volunteers her time as an Inter-Professional Educator/Facilitator with the University of Toronto; an Ambassador/Advocate for the Canadian National Institute of the Blind (CNIB); a Board Member of the Health Providers Against Poverty (HPAP); and a Mentor for Avanti Women.

Vinita possesses a Specialized Honours B.A. in Sociology from York University; a Masters in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Masters in Criminological Research from the University of Cambridge (U.K.). In 2017, Vinita completed her Masters in Ayurvcdic Digestion and Nutrition from the Joyful Belly Institute (NAMA Accredited) in North Carolina. She is now a Registered Allied Health Professional with the Ayurveda Association of Canada Additional professional designations obtained include Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR); Family Mediation (FM); Parent Coordination (PC); Solution Focused Therapy (SFT); Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Mental Health First Aid (MHFA); Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR); Crisis Intervention Stress Management (CISM) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).​

Vinita is an active Member of the Oxford Cambridge Alumni Society and is a Lifetime Member of the Cambridge Union and the Cambridge Neuroscience Society. She is also a Fellow of Darwin College at the University of Cambridge, U.K.



Azi has been practicing as a clinical and community practitioner for over 20 years in various capacities across Ontario. She is a Professor, Researcher, Psychotherapist, and Consultant, that works with individuals, couples, and families to address their relationship challenges, establish and pursue their goals and their potential and satisfaction in life. In her consulting work, Azi mainly consults on issues related to children, youth as well as individuals who have previously or are actively experiencing relationship strains, separation /divorce and or step-families / blended family transitioning issues.

Azi has a wealth of experience ranging from individual, couples and family work to working with individuals mandated to counselling through the court/ justice system (i.e. anger management), to developing programs and services for adolescents/ youth (such as bullying prevention programs, sexual and drug awareness programs etc.) across Ontario. Azi works with a variety of client goals/issues. Currently, she is a part-time professor in the field of social sciences instructing courses such as; clinical practice with individuals, couples and families, principles of counselling, ethics in counselling to mention a few. She has successfully consulted and coached hundreds of individuals achieve their personal and professional goals. 

Member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO), Registered Social Worker with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).
